Ashley E. Nguyen
I am a Full-Stack Engineer, interested in pragmatic programming, accessibility, and inclusiveness. I am pivoting from a background in Behavior Analysis where I found relevant solutions to complex problems, made data-driven decisions, as well as implemented strategies and evaluated their respective effectiveness. I am interested in pulling from my background in learning theory to create apps for research and apps that promote skill growth. More than anything, I am a lifelong learner and there’s not a doubt in my mind that you have something to teach me that I want to learn. I bring to the table a drive for ongoing improvement and the perseverance to enhance the lives of those I work with.

On December 18, 2020, I graduated from General Assembly's Full-Stack Software Engineering immersive. This 14-week program involved 450+ hours of instruction focused on product development fundamentals, object-oriented programming, MVC frameworks, data modeling, and team collaboration strategies. For me, with zero background in coding, this was my first foray into the tech industry. I had the privilege of studying under the guidance of amazing instructors and learned the following technologies:
This program was more than just lecture-based instruction on these technologies. After we learned about these technologies, we got hands on experience applying them by building applications (games and full CRUD). I experienced what it was like to work both independently and collaboratively with a team.

Worth mentioning, we also acquired crucial learning to learn skills: how to ask questions and chase your curiosity. This portfolio website is a demonstration of the skills I learned during the program and new skills acquired through independent exploration after the fact.
